Walter Presents: Reindeer Mafia

Wrap up warm for this six-part drama from Finland. Set against the icy tundra of the Arctic, it tells the story of family-run crime organisation that’s thrown into tumult when its matriarch – the brutal Brita Nelihanka – passes away. When her will is read, further shocks follow, casting new light on how the clan makes its money. As the battle for succession kicks off, it spills out to encompass the surrounding community.

Jimmy’s Taste Of Florida

Think you know the Sunshine State? It’s not all burgers, as Jimmy Doherty discovers when he samples some of Florida’s gastronomic delights. Across five episodes, he learns about the culinary influences the state has benefitted from via its many multi-cultural communities. He eats boiled peanuts, clams, pastries and fills donuts, visits the Kennedy Space Centre, tries cattle ranching and also cruises the Keys on a Harley.

Series two of the brilliant Irish crime drama, kicks off with a double bill. It’s been nine months since the murder of arch-rival Eamon Cunningham, putting the Kinsella clan at the top of Dublin’s crime tree. But their Turkish equivalent are in town and they’re collecting on a huge debt owed by Eamon. Also muddying waters is Bren Kinsella, fresh out of prison and still feared and loathed, not least by his own family.

Bring The Drama
BBC2, 9pm
Bill Bailey hosts this reality show that offers eight aspiring actors, chosen from over 2000 applicants, the chance to kick-start a professional acting career. Each week, the hopefuls – who include retired cop George, and 22-year-old Chris, who’s hearing impaired – visit the sets of top British TV shows, such as Silent Witness and EastEnders, to be filmed performing key scenes that will test the skills needed for each different genre.

The Dog House

The team at Woodgreen Pets Charity are back to help more abandoned dogs find loving homes. Tonight, we meet Yvonne and Graham who want to find a canine pal for their sausage dog Baxter – and they think Tinkerbell might just fit the bill. Elsewhere, Adele and Tom are seeking a dog to get them out walking after a recent health scare, and the Woodgreen team have come up with two possible matches.
