John & Lisa's Food Trip Down Under

Bill Bailey’s not long since explored Western Australia in his Channel 4 series, and now husband and wife John Torode and Lisa Faulkner are following in his footsteps. Unsurprisingly, given he’s a foodie and she’s won Celebrity MasterChef, there’s a culinary flavour to their WA road trip. Expect them to be sampling plenty of food and wine as they experience some interesting people and places during their 500-mile adventure.

SUNDAY

Wilderness With Simon Reeve

BBC2, 9pm

Wilderness with Simon Reeve

The ever-boyish adventurer embarks on a journey to four of our planet’s most remote locations, where nature still reigns supreme. First off, battling through Africa’s swamp-ridden Congo rainforest, he meets the local Baka people, who take him on a hunt for wild honey. But Simon’s ultimate Congo goal is to track down the iconic bonobo – endangered apes that are only found in this location.

When Sir David Jason isn’t on the telly, he loves nothing more than tinkering in his toolshed, mending vintage motorcycles or working on mechanical marvels. So it’s a lovely jubbly match-up as he joins Jay Blades on a UK road trip to meet other DIY enthusiasts, helping them with projects they’re stuck on. This week, they head to the Midlands Air Festival, where a puppet-maker wants to make her creations move.

TUESDAY

Food Unwrapped’s Nordic Adventure

Channel 4, 8pm

Food Unwrapped's Nordic Adventure

Jimmy Doherty and Briony May Williams embark on a journey to see what Nordic countries offer to tease our tastebuds. Starting in the fjords of western Norway, they uncover how cod farming could be the future for satisfying UK appetites. In Sweden, they visit an IKEA branch to learn more about the store’s famous meatballs. And in Finland, they discover the flavour that puts a smile on the faces of – reportedly – the happiest people in the world.

WEDNESDAY

Johnny Vegas: Carry On Glamping

Channel 4, 9pm

Johnny Vegas: Carry On Glamping

The time’s come for Johnny to up-sticks from the quirky Yorkshire glamping site he established with long-suffering assistant Bev in series one to find somewhere bigger and better. That means moving the novel living pods – including his precious bus ‘Patricia’ – and other vintage vehicles. It’s no easy task. Once on the road, the search to find somewhere suitable is a top priority. So why is he buying a dilapidated Puma helicopter?

THURSDAY

Fresh Cops

BBC3, 9pm

Fresh Cops

We’re back on the frontline with Leicestershire’s youngest police officers, re-joining Jake, who’s back doing what he loves. Plus Philippa has only had a week on the job and has to make her first arrest – with an XL bully dog on the scene.

FRIDAY

The Graham Norton Show

BBC1, 10.50pm

The Graham Norton Show

Lots of film types on Graham’s sofa tonight. Bradley Cooper and Carey Mulligan discuss their latest hit Maestro, about the life of conducting legend Leonard Bernstein. Breaking Bad’s Bryan Cranston and Bryce Dallas Howard chat about spy caper Argyll, while Daniel Kaluuya drops in to talk about dystopian sci-fi thriller The Kitchen. Oh, and there’s comedy with Kevin Bridges too.
