Chas resolves to put Al in the past and rebuild her marriage to Paddy, but it seems it may be too late...
She has been consumed by grief since Al’s untimely demise, but this week Chas finally starts to come to terms with her loss and appreciate the life she still has with her family.
However, it may be too late.
Missing her mum, Chas becomes emotional as she stumbles across some of Faith’s belongings, but for the first time in months, she is grateful for Paddy’s love and understanding as he offers her his unquestioning support. Following an afternoon decorating the Christmas tree with Eve, a family dinner with Rhona and Marlon reminds her just how lucky she is to have her loved ones around her, and she resolves to put Al in the past.
Thrilled that his wife seems to be getting back to her old self, Paddy plans a romantic weekend getaway, but when Chloe confides that Al took someone out for dinner the night Faith died, the penny drops for Belle. Cornered, Chas realises she must come clean about her affair – however, she’s horrified when her cousin questions whether she is the reason Cain killed Al and becomes terrified that her betrayal is about to be exposed.
Distraught, Belle eventually breaks down and admits what she has learnt to Moira, who immediately starts to put two and two together about Al’s death and Cain’s imprisonment. Meanwhile, Chas prepares for her trip with Paddy, relieved that they’re getting away from the dangerous situation in the village. But with all the secrets and lies threatening to explode, is it just a matter of time before the truth comes out?
